The Town of Brookhaven (TOB) is the largest town in Suffolk County and a great place to live, work, and play. The Town website is a great resource for Town government and services (www.brookhavenny.gov). You can use the system to report an issue. You will be required to enter your contact information and the details of your complaint. Once submitted, the request is routed to the division that will process the request and respond to you via email.

SOUND BEACH PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION
SBPOA members can access the beautiful, pristine beach at two locations: the East Beach stairs at the north side of Shore Drive between Brookhaven Drive and Amagansett Drive; the West Beach stairs at the north end of Thomas Road. These beaches are marked with swimming ropes from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
BEAUTIFYING OUR HAMLET
Over the past dozen or so years, the Civic has installed and/or taken charge of the maintenance of the gardens of Sound Beach with the help of Civic members, members of the community, as well as a number of Scout troops. We’re always looking for more help, so please contact us if you would like to be part of the beautification committee.
KEEPING SOUND BEACH CLEAN
Each April we participate in an annual spring clean-up as part of the Keep America Beautiful project. Throughout the year, however, several Civic members work hard at trying to keep New York Avenue, including the Children’s Park, free of litter. A job that never ends, we welcome all the help we can get.

Memorial Day service will be held on Monday, May 29, noon, at the Sound Beach Veterans Memorial Park on New York Avenue.
Harnessing a sense of community is important for a number of reasons, including the identity of our hamlet, supporting our local businesses, and more.
Establishing a strong identity allows organizations in our hamlet to connect residents and keep old traditions alive while making new ones as well. It can also attract new visitors by showing off what makes Sound Beach unique.

HELPING OUR NEIGHBORS
The Sound Beach Civic is committed to helping our friends and neighbors in need. Each month we collect nonperishable food items at our monthly meetings and regularly donate to local food banks, shelters, and soup kitchens, which rely on donations they receive from people like us to help keep their shelves stocked.
During the 2022 holiday season, due to the generosity of Civic members and the community at large we were able to donate to a number of groups that help the less fortunate among us.
